Julie Hutto: Event Manager

Julie graduated in 2004 from Winthrop University with a degree in technical theatre/design and has been in the event planning industry for over 14 years now. Her diverse experience is extensive including weddings, corporate events, black tie galas, production and theatre shows, showers, bar mitzvahs, and concerts.   For 11 years Julie worked as an Event Manager for Carnival Cruise Lines and helped organize and execute several concerts including Martina McBride, Journey, Kansas and Olivia Newton John.  Before joining the Hyatt House team she worked as an Event Sales Supervisor at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden.  Her outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation talents, including the ability to handle a variety of events simultaneously, make her an important part of the family here at Hyatt House.


Katie Waddle: Sales Manager

Katie graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Hospitality Management.  For the past 5 years Katie has worked in several roles in the hospitality and sales field.  Katie started her journey working in costumer care at the front desk of the Residence Inn.  Katie then took her expertise to the water working as Front of House Supervisor on the Spirit of Philadelphia.  There she helped arrange several events including weddings, themed parties, and corporate events aboard their beautiful ship while sailing up and down the Delaware River.  She then worked at AAA for two years assisting people fulfill their dreams of exploring new places through amazing travel adventures.  Katie joined the team in 2018 and currently works with several corporations helping plan and execute meetings, training sessions and symposiums.
